If your electric guitar has excessive buzzing or just not feeling good to play, a proper setup can make all the difference. We will sort your action, clean up your intonation, and smooth things out so your guitar feels good and sounds good.
Need a new nut? I prefer to fit high-quality Tusq or Graphtech nuts for stable tone and consistent performance but if you want bone just let me know.
Just looking for a restring or deep clean? we use D’Addario strings as standard, but if you’ve got a favourite set, bring them along — happy to use what you prefer.

All prices are for labour, there is an additional charge for strings and materials. I use D’Addario strings but I’m happy to use your preferred brand if supplied.
Maintenance Restring – £25 + Strings
Old strings removed, Fretboard deep-cleaned & oiled where appropriate, New strings installed body cleaned & polished, machine heads tightened, and if your instrument has electronics, they get cleaned too.
Level 1 Set Up - £50 non trem Electrics & Bass Guitars, £70 acoustic guitars and trem equipped guitars + Strings
Adjusting neck relief/truss rod adjustment, Action & intonation, Hardware tightening, General inspection, Changing tuning and stretching of new strings; fretboard cleaning & conditioning; adjusting nut slots and saddles.
Level 2 Set Up - £70 non trem Electric & Bass Guitars, £90 acoustic guitars and trem equipped guitars + Strings
Adjusting neck relief/truss rod adjustment, Action & intonation, Fret polishing, Hardware tightening, General inspection, Changing tuning and stretching of new strings; fretboard cleaning & conditioning; adjusting nut slots and saddles; tremolo balancing, checking of electronics. 2 Week trial period to bring the instrument back for any minor adjustments.
Level 3 Set Up - £135 non trem Electric & Bass Guitars, £155 acoustic guitars and trem equipped guitars + Strings
Adjusting neck relief/truss rod adjustment, Action & intonation, Fret polishing, Hardware tightening, General inspection, Changing tuning and stretching of new strings; fretboard cleaning & conditioning; adjusting nut slots and saddles;tremolo balancing, checking of electronics, 2 Week trial period to bring the instrument back for any minor adjustments,fret level dress and crown.

New Nut – £100 labour (non trem) £115 (trem) (includes level 2 setup) + cost of nut + strings
Removing the old nut, fitting and shaping the new New Nut, intended for pre-cut/pre-slotted materials like Tusq or Graphtech. Plus all a level 2 set up.
For any service not specifically listed, my labour rate is £55 per hour.
Minimum Service Charge & Diagnosis Fee: £30 (This covers minor tasks up to 40 minutes, such as diagnosis. If the required work exceeds 40 minutes, the fee is waived, and the £55 hourly rate is applied.)
